10 Reasons to Not Accept a Counter Offer

1. Think about where you work where it takes you wanting to resign before they want to pay you what you are worth.

2. Where is the money coming from? Most companies have strict guidelines on Compensation.

3. Your company will immediately start looking for another person at a cheaper price.

4. You have now made your employer aware that you are unhappy. From this day your loyalty will always be in question.

5. Promotion time comes around and your employer remembers who they think is loyal.

6. When times get tough your employer will begin to make cuts and you could be the first.

7. The reason that you were looking in the first place will repeat themselves in the future.

8. Statistics show that if you accept a counteroffer the probability of your voluntarily leaving or being let go within one year are greater than 90%.

9. A counter offer should be viewed as an insult.

10. When the word gets out your co-workers could begin to view you
differently.
